THE Four R Stadium, Govind Park in Ba will take centre stage later this month when the Vodafone Fijiana XV and Samoa meet there for the final fixture of the 2026 Oceania Women’s XV Rugby Championship.

Both sides will play international rugby at the venue that has hosted a variety of sporting events, most notably the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and the Brumbies last month.

And someone who is even more eager to see the Fijiana XV and the Manusina Samoa face off there is the Oceania Rugby competition manager Lemalu Wayne Schuster.

Schuster, in an earlier interview with Times Sport, affirmed how groundbreaking the fixture at the venue would be, particularly in having Ba host women’s rugby on a grand scale as the competition.

“It’s immensely special and exciting in the sense that we are able to take women’s rugby to a part of Fiji where for one, international rugby has never been played but to do but to bring our women representatives not only from Fiji but across the Pacific to Ba is exciting and one that we are very much looking forward to,” Schuster told Times Sport.

While Fiji and Samoa meet on April 25, earlier matches will be held on April 17 when Tonga and Fiji meet at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 4.30pm, and Tonga v Samoa also at the same venue on April 21 at 4.30pm.
