TICKET sales for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua clash against the Highlanders in Ba this Saturday are tracking strongly, with organisers expecting another packed crowd at Govind Park.

Fijian Drua general manager Commercial Shane Hussein said demand for tickets was on par with the side’s historic first match at the venue against the Brumbies earlier this season.

“We’re expecting another bumper crowd this Saturday, and fans who missed out last time won’t want to miss this one,” Hussein said.

He said the atmosphere during the Drua’s first outing in Ba had captured attention locally and internationally, further establishing the town as a growing rugby hub.

“The atmosphere at our first game in Ba was like no other. Those scenes were shared across Fiji and around the rugby world, firmly putting Ba on the map as a top rugby destination.”

Hussein said the match also presented an opportunity for the Drua to break new ground against a Highlanders side they were yet to defeat.

“We’re facing a Highlanders side we’ve yet to beat, but Ba presents a special opportunity to create something memorable. We invite fans to come along and be part of what could be a historic occasion.”

Kick-off has been brought forward to 4pm, 30 minutes earlier than scheduled, to allow for more daylight and an improved match-day experience.

Fans are urged to secure their tickets early, with thousands missing out during the previous sell-out. Tickets are available at Shop N Save, Jack’s of Fiji, Ba Town Council outlets and online at drua.flicket.io.
