Ba Rugby has received a significant boost with Sportsworld’s recent agreement to serve as the Official Match Ball Sponsor for the Ba Rugby Union.
This partnership will see Ba utilising Gilbert match balls provided by Sportsworld for all their domestic fixtures this season.
Vinod Kumar, General Manager of Sportsworld, emphasised that this sponsorship aligns with the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in grassroots sports.
Notably, Sportsworld is already the title sponsor of the Fiji Under 20s team, highlighting their dedication to sports development, particularly at age-grade and grassroots levels.
Kumar mentioned that this agreement will extend until the end of the year, with a planned review process alongside Ba Rugby to determine how best to offer support in 2026.
This collaboration will not only ensure that Ba Rugby has access to high-quality match balls for their tournaments, such as the Vinod Patel Cup, Inox Trophy, and the Ba Tikina Championships, but also provide essential equipment for the three Ba representative teams gearing up for the Skipper Cup and Ranadi Cup.
Vilimoni Delasau, Director of Rugby for Ba Rugby Union, expressed his gratitude for Sportsworld’s valued contribution in bolstering the development of Ba Rugby.
Delasau stressed the importance of having top-notch match balls for all their tournaments and training sessions, underscoring the crucial role equipment plays in the team’s success.
In addition to providing match balls, the sponsorship agreement includes perks for Ba Rugby Union ID card holders, such as discounts at Sportsworld stores.
This added benefit not only enhances the overall experience for players and supporters but also strengthens the partnership between Ba Rugby Union and Sportsworld.
