TWO Ba warriors will go head-to-head in the ring tonight as Alivereti Kauyaca of Bukuya Village defends his Cruiserweight Championship title against challenger Savenaca Naliva of Sorokoba Village in the FMF Bluewater Promotion fight in Nadi.
Both fighters have shown confidence ahead of the much-anticipated clash, promising fans a thrilling contest.
Kauyaca, who has held the belt with pride, said his training camp has prepared him well for the title defense.
“First, I want to thank the promoter for making this fight possible. I have been training well for two months now and I am ready for the fight,” he said.
He acknowledged Naliva’s strength as a fighter but remained focused on letting his gloves do the talking.
“Naliva is also a champion, I respect him and I will do the talking in the ring.
“We will see how it goes,” Kauyaca added, urging fans to come out in numbers to support the showdown.
For Naliva, tonight’s fight is a chance at redemption and to claim the belt from his fellow Ba boxer.
“I thank Kauyaca for giving me the chance to fight him again. Preparation has been going on well and I know it will be a good fight,” Naliva said.
He called on supporters to witness what is expected to be a fiery main event.
“I’m asking all supporters in Ba to come out in numbers and support this good fight,” Naliva added.
Fans can expect nothing less than fireworks when the two Ba heavy-hitters trade punches in Nadi tonight.
