BA Provincial Secondary School Rugby League Team defeated defending national champions Ra High School Rugby League Team 26-16 in the U19 division during round three of the Ba/Tavua/Ra Secondary School Rugby League zone competition yesterday.
The win was one of the highlights of an exciting day of school rugby league as teams battled for crucial points in the competition.
Zone coordinator David Wise said it was a thrilling day of matches.
“It was an exciting day of schools rugby league, and the students displayed their talents well,” Wise said. “Schools came well prepared and there was a good display of both defence and attacking tactics.”
In other results, in the U17 grade, Nakauvadra High School thrashed DAV College 44-0 while Ba Methodist High School defeated Balata College 34-0. In the U15 division, Ra High edged Nilsen College 14-8, Xavier College beat DAV College 16-0 and Tavua College defeated Tavua District School 6-0.
