BA produced a clinical performance when it mattered most, thrashing Nasinu 6-0 to secure a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT at Subrail Park.
The Men in Black entered the decisive pool match knowing only a victory by at least three goals would be enough to keep their title hopes alive and advance to the final four. Faced with that challenge, Ba responded in emphatic fashion.
Ba made the perfect start, racing to a commanding lead with three first-half goals. Praneel Naidu opened the scoring before John Orobulu and Suliano Tawanakro added their names to the scoresheet, giving their side a comfortable 3-0 advantage at the break.
The second half belonged to Orobulu, who put on a masterclass in finishing. The prolific striker completed a four-goal haul by netting three more times after halftime, helping Ba cruise to a comprehensive six-goal victory and secure their semi-final berth in style.
Ba coach Ravinesh Kumar praised his players for rising to the occasion under immense pressure.
“I believe any team that’s under pressure will want to prove things and perform and that is what we did. I must say the boys played according to plan and we will not get back and prepare for the semi-finals,” Kumar said.
Kumar said his team would be happy to play any team in the semi-final.
“We know the other pool was a tough one and all the teams are capable teams. But we will be ready for any team that comes our way.”
Ba will face Labasa in the first semi-final at 2pm this Saturday at Subrail Park.
