THE Vinod Patel Ba rugby side will take on Nadi in round five of the Skipper Cup tomorrow at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, with kickoff at 3pm.

Ba head into the clash with confidence after an impressive showing against defending champions Nadroga last weekend, where they narrowly went down 24-27 but collected two bonus points.

The side’s strength in the mauls and scrums stood out, producing three tries from driving mauls and another from a scrum turnover.

Flanker Ratu Peni Dekedeke also made history, becoming the first Ba player to score a hat trick in a Skipper Cup match.

Ba know the challenge ahead will be tough, with Nadi fielding three Fijian Drua players, but the men in black are determined to put up another strong performance.

Meanwhile, Fiji Pine Ba U20 following their fabulous 29-27 win over defending champions Nadroga last week and secured their fourth successive bonus point they are adamant in their game against Nadi U20 tomorrow.

BRU statement states; “The victory, along with the performance by the Vinod Patel Ba side, has been the talk of the town, with Ba now up to second place in the Skipper Cup U20s table (though we’re still waiting for FRU to publish the official tables).”
