EXTRA Bula FC head coach Stephane Auvray is not underestimating Tahiti United ahead of their OFC Pro League clash tomorrow, despite the latter’s struggles in the competition.

Auvray believes Tahiti United possess quality players capable of causing an upset.

When asked about their opponents, Auvray said, “Different style, different formation, they are very good players. I know they are struggling right now but they have really good players. I’m familiar with French football obviously, so I’ve watched their games. It’s going to be a difficult one.”

Auvray has stressed the importance of proper recovery in the team’s preparation for today’s game.

With Tahiti United enjoying a longer recovery period, tomorrow’s match will test the depth and quality of the squad.

“They have more than 30 hours of recovery over us so we’ll prepare as much and as best as we can, and I think it’s going to be a good game,” he added.

Bula FC’s 1-1 draw against South Melbourne FC earlier this week demonstrated resilience and promise from the young side.

The team is adapting well to their tactical structure and has shown notable improvement in attack, continuously challenging opposing defences.

However, defence and clinical finishing remain key vulnerabilities—areas that both fans and opponents will scrutinise in tomorrow’s eagerly awaited encounter.

Bula FC faces Tahiti United tomorrow at 6.30pm at the Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
