The Vodafone Fiji Cup Basketball competition starts today at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva after a lapse of three years.

Basketball Fiji’s interim chief operating officer William Peter is optimistic about the three day competition.

“This year we are expecting a big turnout, and we are again very grateful to Vodafone Fiji for their partnership and being our major sponsors for the Vodafone Fiji Cup,” Peters expressed.

The top eight men’s and women’s teams will take residence at the gymnasium during the three day tournament.

Teams from Nadi and Lautoka and others from the Central Division are taking part in the competition.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji Cup ends this Saturday.
