Congratulatory messages are flowing in on social media for Fiji Police’s K9 Rae who assisted in the arrest of an alleged livestock thief in Navua yesterday.

Police said K9 Rae and her handler from the Fiji Police Dog Unit were deployed to Navua to assist with a report of the theft of ducks from a farm there.

K9 Rae followed the scent of the alleged suspect right up to his home where he was arrested.

Police said the suspect also revealed there were two others also involved in the alleged theft.

The suspect is in Police custody as investigations continue.

K9 Rae is back at the K9 Unit in Nasese this morning enjoying a well-deserved rest.
