The Fijian Elections Office has announced a raffle worth $30,000 as an extra incentive for those eligible voters who have yet to upgrade to the blue voter card.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said 300 lucky people would each walk away with $100 cash if they win, but to enter, they needed to upgrade their cards or update their details or register new with the present nationwide voter registration drive.

“We have three more weeks for anybody to participate in this drive and if you are currently one of those people holding onto to a green-coloured voter card, simply come down to one of the registration venues and update to the latest voter card and you will be in the draw to win $100 cash should you be one of the 300 people,” Mr Saneem said.

He said more details about the drive would be announced later on in the week, especially for the new venues for the heavily populated regions of Lautoka and Nadi.
