Members of the public are advised that the Makoi Health Center will be temporarily closed from tomorrow, Wednesday, August 9 (2023).

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services stated that closure was necessary to facilitate essential painting works inside the clinic to improve the overall environment and enhance healthcare experience at the facility.

The ministry stated it had arranged for a field hospital that would be set up at the Makoi Birthing Unit – all medical operations and services typically provided at the health center will be available at the temporary field hospital.

“The field hospital at the Makoi Birthing Unit will be fully equipped and staffed with medical professionals to cater to your healthcare needs during the closure,” the ministry stated.

The Makoi Health Center will resume full operations on Monday, August 14.
