Water Authority of Fiji engineers are working to fix an underground leakage on Nokonoko Road in Nasinu.

In light of this, residents and customers in the following areas are advised to expect disruption to their water supply:

• Nokonoko Road
• Fletcher Rd
• Batiki St
• Nakelo St
• Kaunitoni St.
• Wailea St
• Sekoula Rd
• Nanuku St

“We are working towards rectifying the issue as soon as possible,” WAF stated.

The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) stated the underground leak , the leak affected all four vehicle lanes, and had resulted in trafficable lanes being reduced to three.

It stated that after the repair works, it would commence resurfacing works of the affected area from tonight and continue into tomorrow.

“FRA has deployed contractors to provide traffic management while the necessary repairs are carried out,” it stated.

“Please note that the traffic management plan is subject to change as WAF progresses along the line to repair different sections of the affected area. The Ratu Dovi Bound lane has been particularly impacted by the leak.”

Motorists are advised to expect delay on that route, and to allow extra travel time or use an alternative route where possible.
