Update: 3:18PM AUSTRALIA’S Ambassador for the Environment Patrick Suckling will travel to Suva, Fiji, to provide an update on his country’s action on commitments under the Paris Agreement, as well as ongoing support to climate change adaptation and mitigation in the region.
A media advisory issued by the Australian High Commission also confirmed that Mr Suckling is scheduled to meet a range of key stakeholders from the Government, international development partners and the private sector.
It said discussions would encompass a wide range of topics, including preparations for the upcoming COP23 meeting, nationally determined contributions and private sector finance.
Mr Suckling will also visit Kiribati, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Tonga.
