THE Fijian Government is conducting a nationwide consultation on the proposed Climate Change Bill 2019.

And members of the public from around the country are urged to be a part of history and participate in the national event.

The Government states that members of the public could make the proposed Bill better by submitting their suggestions.

The nationwide consultation will close on December 31, 2019.

The proposed Climate Change Bill 2019 is for an act to establish a comprehensive response to climate change, to provide for the regulation and governance of the national response to climate change, to introduce a system for the measurement, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions and for related matters.
