Northern crossings submerged, some access opened to traffic

Five crossings in the Northern Division are reported to have been completely submerged and the access have been closed to all traffic.

The Fiji Roads Authority says this is a result of heavy rain experienced in the country yesterday.

The crossings that have been closed are the Buavou crossing and Lalakoro crossing in Natua, Seaqaqa; Qelemumu crossing outside Labasa; Zailav crossing in Labasa; and Wariki crossing along Navakuru Rd.

Flooding at the Qawa crossing, Urata crossing, Coqeloa flat and Raranikawai crossing have receded and motorists are advised that those accesses are now open to traffic.
