Burst mains reported around the country; supply disrupted for residents

Four separate incidences of burst mains reported in various urban parts of the country have caused water supply disruptions to residents in the respective localities.

In the Northern Division, a burst main has disrupted supply to customers in the greater Labasa and surrounding areas – including Soasoa, parts of Vunika, Basoga, Batinikama, Siberia, Cawaira, Vitadra, Mani Road, Prince Andrew Road, Lowcost Bulileka Cemetery Road,  Boca, Urata, Bulileka, Boubale, Dreketilailai, Bocalevu, Rara, St Augustine, Abua high areas, Bocalevu, and Qelewaqa.

Another reported burst main is affecting customers living in Vunivau, Bulileka, Rara, Wailevu and Batinikama and nearby areas.

A burst main in Nadi is affecting residents in Saunaka, Enamanu, Gounder, and Queens Road and nearby areas.

In the Central Division, a burst main has caused supply disruptions for customers living in Kelland, Narere, and nearby areas.

The Water Authority of Fiji did not provide the specific location of the burst mains but said teams were working towards rectifying the issue as soon as possible.

It also noted that water carting trucks were on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period.
