Minimbi set for Reds debut

Former Fijian Drua lock Chris Minimbi will debut for the Reds against the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights in tomorrow’s Queensland-Saitama Shield fixture at Ballymore, Australia.

Reds coach Les Kiss named the former Marist Brothers High School student on the bench poised to be one of the 11 debutants to run out tomorrow.

Former Ratu Kadavulevu School student and under-20 captain Seru Uru is the second Fijian named in the match-day squad.

Returning from his short run with the Barbarians, Uru is set to start at locks and is one of the 10 players in the Reds first 15 with Super Rugby experience.

Playmaker Lawson Creighton will captain the Australians against the Wild Knights at 5.05pm.
