In merciless fashion, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team displayed their rugby prowess making a huge statement in their opening Oceania 7s match yesterday at Ballymore Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
With a place in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on the line, the Fijiana meant business with a 50-0 thrashing of the Cook Islands and Tonga 40-5.
The Saiasi-Fuli coached side along with Samoa, Tonga, Nauru, the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and American Samoa are all chasing a spot in Paris next year.
