After a hard-earned victory against Japan on Thursday night, the Vodafone XV team will now focus on recovery for their next major Test match.
The national women’s team created history in Lautoka beating Japan 24-15 for the first time and that too on home soil.
The two-Test series allowed coach Mosese Rauluni to test his combinations by injecting a few fresh faces into the squad and this worked out for the better as he got to gauge their performance and get a win under their belts.
With that job done, Fijiana will now lace up for the big Test against the Wallaroos in the next two weeks.
“We’ll see how our girls come up after this very physical game, a great defense on us too. What we’ll do is we’ll have a week off our camp training in Nadi before we prepare for the Wallaroos,” Rauluni said.
These Tests are all stepping stone to the World XV in October and eventually the Rugby World Cup next year in England.
The Wallaroos match on July 6 at Allianz Stadium in Syndey, Australia will be the Fijiana’s sixth Test this season.
