The Vodafone Fijiana 15s side will get a much-needed boost to its 2025 Rugby Women’s World Cup campaign with a Test match set for May.
The Wallaroos confirmed on Tuesday that they will be facing Fijiana in a rare Test match on May 3.
The venue is yet to be confirmed.
Fijiana and the Wallaroos met twice this year with the Aussies emerging victorious on both occasions.
They first met on May 20 with Wallaroos securing a 22-5 win at Allianz Stadium.
The Wallaroos went one better on July 6 thrashing the national women’s side 64-5.
Following this Test match, the Pacific Four Series returns to Australia.
“Playing a Test match in Fiji before the Pacific Four series allows us to build into that tournament and we welcome further Test matches against New Zealand and Wales throughout July before we travel to England.
“2024 has been a significant year for the Wallaroos,” Wallaroos coach Jo Yapp said in an interview with Rugby Australia.
The May Test match may be held in Fiji.
