A number of teams could have their 2023 Digicel Fiji FACT decided when they compete in the Digicel Fiji Premier League (DPFL)this weekend.

Two more rounds remain before the top eight teams for the Fiji FACT tournament will be confirmed.

Suva and Nadroga play two games each this weekend while other eight teams will feature in their round six fixture.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said, the DFPL would get more exciting from here.

“We have seen in the first five rounds how difficult competition is. Five points separate the top four while only two points separate the bottom three,” Pal said. “Teams will be in need of points this weekend to have any chance of playing in the first tournament of the year.”

In matches this week, Suva hosts Nadroga at 7pm at the Uprising Sports Complex on Friday.

In the lone match on Saturday, Ba battles neighbours Tavua at 3pm at the FFA Academy Ground in the west. Four matches kick off at 3pm on Sunday.

Navua hosts Labasa at Uprising, Nadroga battles Tailevu Naitasiri at Lawaqa Park, Suva takes on Lautoka at the HFC Bank Stadium while Nadi battles Rewa at Prince Charles Park.
