NAIYALA Secondary School’s Meresei Murimuriwaca could not believe that she had won gold in the senior girls long jump event at the Tailevu Zone today.

It was not until the officials told her after the event when she realised she had finished on the top.

She outclassed all other athletes with a jump of 9.06m.

The Year 13 student said she would now train hard to better her jump performance at the Coca-Cola Games in the next two weeks.
