THE National Fire Authority (NFA) officers in North have been commended for maintaining their stations in a proper manner.
According to a statement by the Government, the Minister for Local Government Premila Kumar while visiting the Labasa fire Station this morning.
She emphasized the importance of neatness and best practices especially for emergency responders such as the NFA.
“You have kept the premises clean and this is extremely important. This will go a long way in effectively responding to emergency situations,” Minister Kumar said.
“Overall, I am pleased to say that all the NFA buildings are constructed well and it is maintained well.”
Minister Kumar visited the Seaqaqa, Nabouwalu, Savusavu and Labasa Fire stations during her three day visit to the North, which concluded today.
