Company expands its communication reach

Fiji Pine Ltd has increased its communication coverage in the highlands Nadarivatu with the installation of a brand new repeater site in Koro’o.

According to the company, the new repeater will improve communication operations in Nadarivatu and the Ra province.

“The installation of a brand new repeater site at Koro’o in Nadarivatu is set to revolutionize communication in our operations and bring improved radio coverage to Ra Forest and beyond, all the way up to the Uluisaivou region in Ra,” a company statement said.

“At Fiji Pine Ltd, we understand the vital role that effective communication plays in our day-to-day activities.

“That is why we’ve invested in this state of the art repeater system to ensure seamless and reliable radio connectivity for our teams operating in these areas.”

According to the company, the installation of the repeater site at Koro’o marked a significant milestone in their commitment to enhancing communication capabilities.

“Our goal is to enable better coordination, efficiency, and safety across the entire Ra Forest region, extending our reach to the Uluisaivou area.

“With this advanced infrastructure in place, we can overcome any communication barriers and ensure that important messages are conveyed without interruption.

“Some of the key benefits include expanded radio coverage, clearer communication, enhanced operations and strengthened partnerships.

“The benefits of this new repeater site extend beyond our immediate operations. The enhanced coverage will be particularly advantageous during firefighting seasons, facilitating effective communication with forest management operations.

“Additionally, it will enable seamless coordination with our logging operations, including our harvesting gangs and FPL Fleet trucks.

“From Koro’o, we are now able to reach back to our Drasa base and link to our Vanua Levu repeaters, further strengthening our network and expanding our reach across Fiji.”
