Two new permanent secretaries have been appointed by the Public Service Commission.

PSC chairman Luke Rokovada said Paula Baleilevuka had been appointed the new permanent secretary for Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Meteorological Services while Meli Nacuva was the new Ministry of Youth and Sports permanent secretary.

The PSC confirmed Mr Baleilevuka is a civil engineer by profession and has an extensive career in public works programs working in countries within the Pacific region.

Meanwhile, Mr Nacuva was the Flying Fijians manager for the Rugby World Cup 2013 campaign.

He also has more than 20 years’ experience working as an industrial and systems engineer in both the private and public sectors.

Mr Rokovada said the new permanent secretaries were expected to begin their posts later in March.
