Former acting Commissioner of Corrections, Senior Superintendent Salote Panapasa has been sent on leave pending a FICAC investigation.

In a statement, the Fiji Corrections Services confirmed Ms Panapasa would be sent on leave today.

FCS acknowledged the investigation, however, said Ms Panapasa was innocent until proven guilty.

All operations at FCS will carry on normally in the meantime.
