Update: 12.48PM SCHOOLS in Ba could be closed early today if heavy rain conditions persist.

Ba
provincial administrator Laitia Yabakivou said some roads in Ba were flooded.

“Cemetery
Rd is one of the main roads that is now flooded and we are currently moving
around to identify other areas that could be underwater,” he said.

“Our main
concern is school students and once we get the full picture from our field
visits then we might have to make a decision on our schools.

“If the
rain continues then there is a high chance of more flooding so we might have to
send students home early.”
