Update: 11:10AM TROPICAL Cyclone Winston will enter Fiji waters later tonight.

According
to the Fiji Meteorological Service’s latest bulletin,
the Category 3 cyclone was located
approximately 760km south-southwest of Kadavu or 810km southwest of Ono-i-Lau.

The cyclone
is moving southeast at about 22km per hour at about 11knots.

Severe TC
Winston is predicted to maintain a southeast track and then gradually turn
north eastward later tonight.

It is
expected to lie about 530km south of Kadavu and about 440km southwest of
Ono-i-Lau by midday tomorrow.

“On its
projected path, TC Winston is expected to enter Fiji waters as a Category 3
system overnight tomorrow and may bring damaging gale force winds over the
Southern Lau Group early Tuesday,” the bulletin stated.

“For the southern Lau Group, moderate northwest winds
should be expected.

“Winds may
increase to strong with speeds of 45km per hour and momentary gust of 65km per
hour from tomorrow.”
