Renovation works boost for Nadi Hospital

NADI Hospital received a $40,000 boost from Radisson Blu Resort Fiji for the completion of the Women’s Medical Ward renovation works.

The hospital also received a $10,000 vital signs monitor from the Club Wyndham Denarau Island management and staff members. At the handover, Wyndham Resort assistant resort manager Neomai Matai said it was a small way of reaching out to members of the public with their corporate social responsibility program.

“We are thankful to the Nadi Hospital Board of Visitors Trust for approaching us and giving us an opportunity to donate this very important piece of equipment to the hospital,” Ms Matai said.

“We will continue to support the board and the hospital with new projects wherever possible.”

Board of Visitors chairman Mohammed Israr Khan said the gift was timely as the GOPD at Nadi Hospital serves an average of 350 patients per day.

“This is a very important gadget for any hospital, and we are so fortunate to have this machine,” said Mr Khan.

“The board is so appreciative and thankful to the Wyndham Resort management team for agreeing to donate this machine without any hesitation,” Mr Khan said.

“Our board has some other bigger projects planned for 2025 and we will be approaching other stakeholders to consider partnering with us in fulfilling these projects in a timely manner.”
