THE short supply of cement blocks from local suppliers has had an adverse impact on the construction of the multi-million dollar Ba Hospital.

Ba Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dinesh Patel said the hospital was to have opened in August.

“That did not happen because of the shortage of cement and cement blocks,” he said. “We are looking at an opening date later this year or early next year.”

The $30 million hospital is a project headed by the Ba Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Government assistance.
