Furniture company partners with Singaporean firm

A NADI-based company making waves in the transformation of local resort properties has partnered with an Asian company to manufacture and produce state-of-the-art and eco-friendly furniture.

Green Leaf director Gleb Zheludkov said the Ukranian company found a unique market in Fiji where resort supplies and accessories were still an untapped market.

“We are a five-year-old company and when we first came to Fiji we found that the supply of hotel equipment was still very limited so we decided to start a factory,” he said.

“By trade, we are manufacturers of furniture but we couldn’t produce furniture on a larger scale even though we were getting high-end clients like the Marriott, Sheraton and we even worked on the new-look Nadi International Airport.

“So we partnered with Singaporean company OneStop which basically did about 40 projects in the Maldives and focused on very high-end resorts.

“They’ve never been to this part of the world so we partnered with them and opened up a whole new market for them in the Pacific.”

He explained that a new showroom along the Nadi Back Rd would showcase some of the high-end products produced by OneStop.

“We will be responsible for the production, transport and installation of the items which usually gives a project manager looking after a resort upgrade some peace of mind.

“A lot of problems tend to arise from this renovation project which is where we come in by looking after the whole project from the design, production, transport and installation.

“Fiji is overdue for a renovation as a brand especially in the hospitality market and they will need manufacturers that produce and install most of the new high-end and eco-friendly equipment and accessories.”
