COVID-19: Indonesian nationals in Fiji repatriated

Forty-seven Indonesian nationals returned to Jakarta on a repatriation flight that left Nadi International Airport this morning.

Organised by the Immigration Department, the flight also included foreign nationals from Papua New Guinea and India.

Indonesian Embassy Minister Counsellor Mayuzar Adamy said the repatriation flight would go through Port Moresby, Jakarta, and New Delhi.

“This was organised by the Fijian Government with the three governments of Indonesia, PNG and India, and we obviously are very grateful that we were able to send some of our citizens home,” Mr Adamy said.

“We are very grateful to the Ministry of Immigration and the Government of Fiji for organising this flight for our people.”
