All 95 people who were in quarantine at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi and discharged on April 12 were retested for COVID-19 have all tested negative, says Health Ministry permanent secretary Dr James Fong.
He said out of an abundance of caution, they were recalled to the hotel after soldiers tested positive for the virus on April 27.
The four soldiers, as earlier alluded to by Dr Fong, had recently returned from overseas duties, and had fraternised among each other during their 14-day quarantine at the border facility.
“So it was part of the investigation into that initial breach that started this problem,” he said.
