Paradise Raiwasa Taveuni’s fate in competing at the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s will be known today.
Captain Dan Yaya said the team was facing a lot of financial difficulties due to sponsorship woes.
Yaya said they had not yet paid the $750 registration fee to the organisers of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s as a pre-requisite for playing in the three-day tournament.
But if they are to play in the tournament then they will need to pay for their meals, travel and accommodation.
“We would be having a talanoa session to discuss our fate,” he said.

“Apart from not yet paying for the registration fees, we also have no accommodation to stay in during the three-day tournament.
“Sometimes with only little money we have, we put-in to pay for our food, water and travel expenses. This was a bit difficult for us.”
But if they play this week, he said, team members are hoping to redeem themselves after bowing out of the Fiji Bitter Labasa 7s quarterfinal.
“Our focus will be on the prizemoney of $10,000 just like any other team,” he said.
“We went back to the drawing board to ensure the errors of our games last weekend are not repeated and we win this tournament.”
The Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s starts at Ganilau Park tomorrow.
