Four new teams have recently joined Netball Fiji’s FinanceHub Super League, which is set to kick off its second season this Saturday.

The addition of the Nadi netball team, Tailevu, and the two national U21 teams bring new excitement and competition to the premier tier one netball tournament.

Netball Fiji has positioned the Super League as a platform for top netball players to showcase their skills.

This year, the tournament also serves as a selection opportunity for players to secure spots in either the Fiji Pearls or Fiji A squads.

Following the League, the squads will be announced as they gear up for the 2025 international netball season.

Also, the league will act as a training ground for the National U21 squad in preparation for the upcoming World Youth Championship next year.

Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster expressed gratitude to FinanceHub for their sponsorship, emphasising the importance of investing in sports and youth to promote healthy living and community development.

“The team will host games at home which will allow more of their fans to cheer for them, it will also allow for our young netballers around the country to watch their favorite players in action,” said Koster.

Round one of the Super League will begin this Friday at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva with defending champion FMF Suva taking on National U21 team Kikau.

The other matches of round one will be played on Saturday.

Lautoka Stars will play Tailevu at the Lautoka Multipurpose Court, Nadi will take on Nadroga Stallions at Lawaqa Park, while Nasinu Gold will face the National U21 team Kacau at the LICI Courts in Laucala Bay, Suva.
