THE Grass-Hoppers team displayed exceptional dominance in their match against Tagimoucia team in the Roses grade, emerging victorious with a resounding 23-2 win in a four-quarter game during round seven of the New World Suva Netball Association weekly games yesterday.

The Hoppers team’s performance was marked by their outstanding skills and control on the court, which was evident throughout the match as they executed their plays a convincing win.

Assistant games committee member, Raijieli Rabitu, reflected on the challenges posed by the weather during the competition but emphasized the growth and development showcased by the 11 clubs and 88 teams participating this season.

She highlighted the increasing numbers and diverse age groups participating, ranging from eight-year-old players in the Angel grades to mothers aged up to 55 years.

“The competition is great, a lot of talent shown on the court, the numbers have increased from last year, which is good, can see a lot of talent in the competition,” said Rabitu.

“Netball as a form of exercise and development for both the youth and mothers, fostering opportunities for players to aspire towards national recognition with the Fiji Pearls team.”
