Club in all semi-finals

Team Lomaiviti has shown their dominance in the New World Suva Netball Association in 2024, with all their grades making it through to the semi-final competition tomorrow.

This is a remarkable achievement considering the high level of competition in the association this year, with a record number of 479 games played across nine different categories and 89 teams.

Games coordinator Gabriel Qoro praised the effort and dedication of the clubs in putting their teams into the Quarter Finals and now the semi-finals.

“Team Lomaiviti, a renowned club in Suva and one of the oldest in the association, will be featuring in all grades – Angels, Roses, Princess, Development, Queens, Mixed, Major, Premier, and Super grades, this is a testament to the club’s strength and depth in all levels of the game,” said Qoro.

Qoro also highlighted other clubs with more than five teams in the semi-finals.

“This is an achievement with all the teams represented in the semi-finals, we also acknowledge other clubs that have more than five teams in the semi-finals, which are Tagimoucia Club, Ablaze Club., Rovers, Grasshoppers, Tiki Club, newcomers Huva Stallions Netball club.”

The Suva Netball Association committee expressed their gratitude to the parents, coaches, and managers of the clubs for their support and commitment throughout the season.

They also thanked the major sponsor New World IGA for their continued support, which has played a significant role in the growth and development of netball in Suva.

The competition will commence, 8am at the National Netball Centre in Suva.
