BLK Lavidi Brothers emerged victorious in an epic final at the Brimstone 7s tournament, defeating Tabadamu 29-14 at Thomson Park in Navua yesterday.
Captain Sefanaia Vuli expressed his pride in the team’s hard work.
“Our players had to earn their spot in the team through commitment and hard work, and this discipline paid off in the competition,” said Vuli.
Vuli emphasised the importance of training diligently at the grassroots level to discover and nurture local talent who could eventually represent Fiji on the international stage.
The captain expressed his gratitude to the supporters and families who came out to cheer on the team, as well as their coach and sponsor BLK for their support.
Looking ahead, the team is focused on defending their title at the upcoming Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s tournament.
Meanwhile, in the women’s final, Lilian Amazon defeated Seahawks 24-17.
