A new champion was crowned in the boys’ division as Queen Victoria School emerged victorious. At the same time, Tailevu North College retained its title as champion in the girls’ division at the Tailevu zone competition staged at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva yesterday.
QVS claimed 33 gold, 21 silver, and 19 bronze medals, overtaking last year’s champion Ratu Kadavulevu School which secured second place with 15 gold, 21 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
Tailevu North College claimed third spot with four gold, three silver, and 12 bronze medals.
In the girls; division, Tailevu North College showcased their dominance by winning 23 gold, 11 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
Dawasamu Secondary School followed closely in second place with 10 gold, 12 silver, and 11 bronze medals, while Wainibuka Secondary School secured the third position with nine gold, 10 silver, and 11 bronze medals.
As the competition concluded, attention now shifts to the Triple N Zone competition which starts today.
