Two individuals charged with a series of offences appeared in court this week.

In one case, a 30-year-old man appeared in the Suva Magistrate’s Court charged in connection with aggravated robbery at Yadrana Settlement in Lami.

The alleged offence took place during the early hours of April 15 when the accused threatened a 30-year-old victim before fleeing with his phone.

The man has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery and will appear at the Suva Magistrate’s Court.

In the second case, a 29-year-old man was brought before the Nasinu Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in relation to a case of burglary and theft in Narere.

The alleged incident occurred on April 12 when the accused reportedly entered the home of a 49-year-old manager and made off with various items valued at more than $6000.

The accused faces charges of burglary, theft and serious assault and has been remanded in custody until April 30.
