NO matter what life throws at you, always trust in God and do not lose faith in him and he will restore you.

Pastor Tui Kolinisau made these statements during his speech at his son’s Fiji’s Rio gold medal winning 7s team captain Osea Kolinisau’s celebrations yesterday.

The celebrations were hosted by the tikina of Kabara from the Lau Group and was attended by Kolinisau’s family and some chiefs from the tikina of Kabara including the Tui Namuka Ratu Anitelu.

Kolinisau Sr shared the importance of having faith in God and to keep working hard because he is always watching and he always rewards hard and honest workers.

These statements were complemented by Osea Kolinisau who said even though the Rio gold was won people should never forget who the source of that victory was.

“It was through our Lord Jesus Christ that we won that gold and we should give the glory back to him,” Kolinisau said.

He told the people of Kabara that despite the limitations of their natural resources because of the geographical locations of their islands but as long as they have God with them they have everything.

Event co-ordinator Sunia Bulu said despite the many previous celebrations for Kolinisau this was from all the people of Kabara who just wanted to thank one of their great sons.
