It was really interesting that article about the radar clocking a vehicle travelling at 147km/ph.
All I said was, “wowza!”
And since the beginning of this year, the Land Transport Authority has booked 13,000 drivers caught on speed cameras breaking traffic rules.
But looking at the number of bookings it makes me wonder if drivers care or listen to advice from the roads authority.
Anyway, a vehicle travelling at 147km/ph is really fast, if it hits something nothing will be left of the vehicle and occupants.
I have been driving for a very long time and after getting booked a few times, I vowed never to get booked again. I have been booked for speeding, not wearing a seat belt and also for not producing my drivers licence.
I follow road rules and speed signs and there have been times when I see people with high visibility vests on the road that made me slow down and come back to reality. Then, I drive past and it’s people working on road repairs.
But my heart misses a beat every time that happens.
Oh, and I am very frightened of some drivers in Fiji.
And don’t forget the careless pedestrian.
But now, I am wondering if my car can reach 147km/ph! Heck it’s just a thought.
