The heavy rain warning is also in force for the Northern Lau Group, Viti Levu and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group.
In a special weather bulletin for heavy rain issued at 10am today, the Regional Specialised Meteorological Centre in Nadi said a heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
For the whole of Fiji, the centre says there will be cloudy periods with some showers especially in the afternoon or evening with isolated thunderstorms.
Showers will increase to rain and become frequent from around midday tomorrow.
The centre said localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding.
