Home invasion

On Monday about 1.30am, we were the victims of a home invasion.

We woke to a person crouching at the end of our bed and multiple intruders in our house.

A terrifying experience that will stay with us for some time.

After yelling and screaming, the intruders left the house in a hurry, taking with them a number of our possessions.

We immediately reported the incident to the Pacific Harbour police post that quickly moved into gear.

We cannot commend the constabulary at the Pacific Harbour Police Post highly enough.

Constable Neori using his private vehicle was able to quickly identify and apprehend the gang’s driver who was waiting nearby.

The men in blue then summoned the Navua police and the canine squad from Suva.

Thanks to their quick response and their actions the gang was flushed out of the bush and arrested.

By 9am we had completed our statement at the Navua Police Station and identified our stolen possessions.

A mere seven hours after the crime was perpetrated.

A heartfelt congratulations must go to all those involved for their prompt and efficient arrests.

Fiji police, keeping Fiji safe and honest.
