Update: 4:32PM REPUBLICAN candidate Donald Trump just got his best results today as count in North Carolina ended this hour.
A neutral political website the Embassy of the United States in Suva show Trump at 61 per cent at 5.20pm.
Considered a swing state, North Carolina voting Trump means all eyes are now on Florida, Michigan and Virginia.
These battleground states, called so because they aren’t historically tied either way.
Candidates in these elections have conducted the most campaigning there.
Florida is currently projected at 81 per cent chance to go Trump.
Figures for the other swing states are still too close to call.
