Beachcomber head about a group of women discussing some “new” medical terms.
The women were talking about a sick relative in hospital.
The relative had chest pains and was kept in the emergency ward for some time before being shifted to another ward.
One of the women said, “Oh well, he has been shifted to the ward because the doctors said they would ‘preserve’ him.”
Curious, the woman wondered why the doctors would “preserve” the relative.
She asked whether the doctors would “preserve” or “observe” the relative.
Everyone burst out laughing when they realised the doctors had actually shifted the relative to “observe” his condition.
