Certain divisions are experiencing flooding right now.

The pictures and stories coming through various news channels tell us the scale of destruction floods caused there.

Unbelievably this rain caused widespread landslides too. Fortunately, I believe and hope no life has been lost but damage to houses and in some places roads are too much to bear.

DISMAC is on hand 24/7 assessing and providing assistance as far as they can to the people affected. Road authorities are also working round-the-clock to ensure people are not caught up because of no access in the flood-ravaged areas.
