Update: 1:32PM INMATES at the Vaturekuka Prison in Labasa were accorded an advanced Christmas treat when a choir from Bua paid a visit and sang Christmas carols this morning.

The Nawailevu Methodist Church Choir thought it best to share the joy of Christmas with the inmates, two of whom were serving time at the facility as well.

Lay preacher and choir conductor Samuela Sigatokacake said they had been practicing for two months prior to their prison visit.

“We have two members who are inmates here, so we came to visit them,” Mr Sigatokacake said.
