Ba, Rakiraki, Nadi and Sigatoka town councils said the annual event was cancelled because of the recent bad weather and flooding events.

Tavua is not holding any celebrations because people are still recovering from the impact of Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston and the recent flooding.

The celebrations in Lautoka will be in partnership with the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
